Football Birthday Party?

So I have never been much into sports.  My dad would take me to baseball games as a child and I played tennis in school, but sports have never been my cup of tea. So why on earth am I having a football party for my birthday?  Well, it all started when my husband and I made new friends in a couple at church.  The first time they came to the house the husband remark about our LARGE tv that Tennessee football season would be spent at our house.  Guess when the first game of the season falls on?  Yes, my birthday!  Now we have invited several people and I am frantically cleaning my house and finishing preparing for school to start at the same time.  God help me!!!

Greetings

Greeting!  Welcome to the Parton Family Learners blog.  I am Jennifer or Mommy to my four children.  My husband Clinton and I have been blessed to raise a future president (age 10), farm girl (8), fairy (6), and superhero (4).  God has been so good to us.  We live out in the country in East Tennessee near Knoxville.

Our fairy was born with many environmental and food allergies so when it came time to enroll her in school like her two older siblings, we couldn't bring ourselves to risk her attending public school.  After much prayer and meditation we decided to homeschool her.  We used the Five in a Row program and loved it.  We often discussed whether to leave the older two in public school until middle school or take them out the following year.  Well you guessed it! Now they are all home and I am so excited!

We decided to begin our school year on September 4, the day after Labor Day and even though that is just a few days away, I am still not ready.  (LOL guess I never will truly be ready!)
